Speaking as a customer, there are times when I call to get information about a product and if I don't get someone on the phone, I just hang up and call their competitor, those that answer the phone..get my money.

Now speaking as the service provider, I want to get customers the information they need as soon as possible, I think it shows that we care about them when we help them in a timeley manner.

I think our customers would place a great deal of value on being able to contact us and get what they need.

The sooner the better and the more personal the better. I say personal because then you know someone is working to help you, instead of wondering if an email made it to the right person or if they got your voice mail. Did I push the right buttons with the automated attendant?
